Default NL100 : flop topset on a flush board

Sorry for the HH. I can't convert NOIQpoker hands to any conventional format, it seems. I've no infos on vilain, he recently sat on the table. Standard?

You're close lol but that's not it. I was thinking of maybe c/c next time since no hands that I beat would call beside AdKx or underset (doubt he plays underset like that tought).

Then I changed my mind and thought I played the hand well and was too much result-oriented. Now I can't decide.

Why not check on the flop?
What was villain hand?
How high was his flush?

I'm not sure there is much else you can do here except slow down on river, but you have to call a bet by villain. Maybe if you checked river and he went all in, you would know he's not scared of much. Tough to fold, though.

Checking the turn gives him an opportunity to bluff, so I'd definitely bet here. You might bet a little less on turn and fold to a raise, but I'd probably do what you did.

Whatever villain had, he did not play well (unfortunate that he won the pot). If he had 45, AA or KK, he does not deserve it.

Why are we saying that villain did not play this well. I know it apparently wasn't the case, but if I flop a good flush here, and the Hero never slows down, I'm just calling all the way - let him hang himself.

If I'm hero, I'm leading flop just the same, but slowing down after that - we're clearly vulnerable here - no? I'm definately not shoving the river - what's the point? He's made it clear that he's going to call, so I don't think you're bluffing, and there's a large chance you're behind. You're right, the board's so scary, you're only getting called by hands that have you crushed.

I'm not great with odds, etc., and I hope to learn from you guys, but here's my thinking.

With six players behind, I think villain should re-raise pre with AA or KK, but I guess a lot of players don't do this?

I suppose if he has AA or KK with the diamond, passively calling is not horrible, but is it good play on this flop?

If he has KdKx, the turn is very nice, but again, he just calls. Is that good? Wouldn't raising or pushing be better? (If he's going to call the river, anyway.)

On the river, if villain has AdAx, he had to call, but is he justified just calling the flop and turn?

Help me out here. Did villain play correctly? (I'm assuming he didn't have a flush.)

If villain had 45 (no flush), his flop call might be OK, but can he call that turn?
