As played I like the river c/r I think most hands he's calling a bet with he will bet himself

This is certainly wrong.

i dunno what you're trying to accomplish by checking here... from what i remember of his play on hsp i think that he'll bluff here very rarely when checked to (could be wrong about that but he seemed really loose/passive). if he backdoored a flush theres a good chance he'll call your c/r but there also a good chance he'll raise if you bet. and he seems to call down loose so why not bet and give him a chance to call with 4th pair or whatever

yea, i dont agree with that either.

also, he will/should raise the river if he hit a flush (unlikely bc he checked the flop, and who checks the flop with a /fd, amirite?!)

he can def find a call with 88 type hands, but doesnt have much reason to bet them.

Just bet the river and profit.

I would generally check the river. You lose a lot less if you are beat

has nobody watched HSP enough to know that elezra is pretty cally in this spot?

edit: from HSP elezra seems spewy pf, flop and turn, but is pretty solid on the river. he's gonna call with a lot of bluff catchers, though.

Yeah you guys are right again. For some reason I was thinking if I was going to bet I should bomb it, but a smaller value bet that he can call light like he always does and that he's going to raise with a flush or whatever seems clearly better. I play so bad.

I don't like the river check raise with these stack sizes. He's very aggro and donkish from what I've seen out of HSP and the PPT so if you lead the river he's definitely raising with a flush. Checking also allows him to check down a mid pair that he wants showdown value out of.

I would bet 1400 here.
