half of me is like "wow that's why people hate short stackers, because they have no clue how to adjust"
the other half of me is like "wow most of these opponents played these hands so atrociously that sitting on a full stack is probably even more profitable"

[/ QUOTE ]

I think part of the reason this works so well is that people can't actually be bothered to adjust. They think "Oh well it's only another 15BB to call, may as well GAMBOOOL". Even good players don't adjust / can't be bothered to adjust to short stackers.

If you actually had a big stack behind you, these players would certainly play a lot more conservative.

Wrong. Do You See Why?

Anytime some posts this kind of response i want to punch them in the face. They give the impression they are some master of poker and that the person they are responding to has to sit down for a few weeks to work out why it is not the case.

Your not some genius for saying 'do you see why?'. we all see why.

You should say - i disagree becuase....

DO YOU SEE MOTHER [censored] WHY??

(nothing personal, just now ive read that kind of response for around the 50th time on 2+2 i had to finally react)

also, short stacking is annoying when you flop a set vs an overpair and make bugger all. its hands like that which bring in the real bucks.

also2, i could put a post up of my first 1,400 hands playing lag (36-30 game) where i was running at 20.5BB/100.

doesnt mean lags run at 20.5/BB though.

i tried out shortstacking for like 10k hands or something somewhere around 6 months ago, buying in for 400 or whatever at 10-20. 1k hands means zilch. i think in the end i was like 2.5 ptbb or something kinda meh. i also had a 15k downswing. buying in for 400. and i still made money. so.. i duno, something to chew on.. i decided it was more +ev to full stack, and i would actually be able to get beter at this deep stack poker thing. take my thoughts for what they are worth. holla

[/ QUOTE ]

you are right, but NL 5K Full Buyin is just too high for me right now. I'm full stacking at NL 600/NL1K/NL2K and have good success there, but the NL 5K shortstacking thing is just pure gambling for me while I'm watching a movie or do something else

Any comments on the last hand (KK) ? Is my line ok? (villain is very loose and aggressive)
