Default 25NL: 77, one overcard, facing c-bet

This hand would have been a lot easier to play if I had stats on this guy. I've no idea how often he c-bets or bets the turn. Thoughts?

Stats/reads would be very nice.

Folding to the double barrel is pretty standard. The only thing that makes this hand a bit difficult (besides absence of stats/reads) is the Q on the turn which makes it considerably less likely that he has a Q.

Probably. But we can't really say what villian's UTG range is with no info nor how much he'll double barrel with no pair.

Without a read though I agree fold is best.

I dont think its standard to call this flop. Calling is weak since it looks like your drawing, and raising will get action alot of the time since its a drawy board hence turning your hand into a bluff. I usually fold.

I wonder if preflop call is standard. I am trying lately to either fold or raise, calling with mid-PP only if I'm pretty sure the pot will go multi-way. Can a pooh-bah tell me if that's stupid?

No reads we can't make this assumption.

That's stupid. (Sometimes it's right but as a general rule it's stupid.) Calling pre-flop with 77 here is so very standard. Pot doesn't need to be multi-way for calling with a low or mid pair to be very +ev.

I think this flop is a raise/fold situation, and I'd tend to fold there.
