Re: New iPod Tomorrow
Check the prices on SSHDs bigger than 16GD, they are really expensive still. HD take up too much juice to run with the touch interface, battery life would be a sad joke.

Dell doesn't appear to have the Axim in stock and the ones I saw on Ebay were around 250. I couldn't find a 32G compact flash card, but did see an 8G Sansdisk one for another 100. There was a 64G memory stick for 5k, but that wasn't compact flash. The GPS adapter for the Axim Dell had was 180. On top of that it the 51V got poor reviews for battery life and runs a Windows OS which some people find objectionable. I know you don't like Apple, but two year old discontinued technology and unobtainable memory cards seems like a stretch. |

[/ QUOTE ] this may be true - but couldn't you put in a bigger battery and increase the size of the device? lots of people would gladly make this trade-off. this whole launch is just confusing, b/c now various products in their lineup have features that I want, but none of them have all of them. |

Re: New iPod Tomorrow
Yeah, I'd be willing to consider the iTouch if it was a little bigger, but contained a better battery and ~30 GB of storage. Of course, that would put it at a very expensive price point, but I'd still consider it at around $500. I'm not willing to shell out as much as they're asking for a player with so little memory, though.

I was all set to buy something, anything, BUY BUY BUY. But I keep vacillating now. Question: How much space does an average TV show/movie take up? Because I'm a gadget donkey and I really want the Touch and I want to know how small 16GB will be. Music-wise I've been living with a 2GB Nano so it'll take me a long time to fill it up with music, it's video I'm worried about. |
