so no important info besides ive been kinda card dead and prolly look tight. and villain prolly isnt good. effective stacks ~160.

i raise to 7 UTG with AA [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] folded to SB who calls

flop is J [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 2 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 6 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]
he checks, i bet 12, he calls

turn is 3 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
he checks, i bet 28, he min raises to 56, i give him 28 more dollars

river is a brick
he bets 78, and i fold.

is this standard? prolly is but id like to hear yall

If I am betting the turn, then it's with plans to call/shove if villain check raises.

My usual play would be to check the turn with plans to call any river that doesn't make me the nuts (obv I raise/shove with the nuts)

I like how you played the hand. You know he can't be raising the nut draw, so it's much more likely he has a made hand here.

yea, i kinda like that. i think the only hand that is calling that turn bet is AJ maybe KJ while all the hands that beat me pretty much have to raise and any junk he called the flop with gives up

Why do you want to fold out worse hands? A worse hand has two (or maybe one) out to beat hero and giving villain a chance to bluff the river with a worse hand extracts value from hands hero crushes.
