I don't think I like Villain's shove if he has a boat.

[/ QUOTE ]

ya the more I think about this the more I like a call, but then I think about it some more and my mind reverts back to fold.
I have never played with tech (unless he plays on party too). If he has a boat, playing it this fast is pretty bad, considering he is scaring most of us off AK here (when if he just calls, we pretty much have to value bet river with our image).

So he might be raising as a bluff. Then again he would have to be pretty nuts to bluff rereraise this board with a turned combo draw. So I still have to doubt that he is bluffing. Meh I still say fold. Tech if you had a combo draw I kinda like the way you played it, but with a full I don't.

dude i mean [censored] pot control over the whole realm of the concept. As in controlling the size of the pot to get his stack in. If he doesn't raise the flop he has no shot of getting his stack in.

this hand says different AMIRITE

[/ QUOTE ]

pretty results oriented. how often does the action go like this on this board texture?

[/ QUOTE ]

still, the presumption that i have NO shot at getting stacks in is a bit newb

yeah, I mean its not terrible to not raise flop. Also, sometimes you have to satisfied with playing it slower and extracting 2 bets considering how wide the opponents range is. Trying to maximize against AK-AQ is probably not going to make the most money with 777 in this spot

if i have 88, why should i just call here? a T/J/Q rier could kill my action for hands i'm ahead of, and he's also drawing for 7 outs if he has an ace.

A call says 'I have a huge hand' too. Any smart opponent isn't putting in another dime unless he improves - unless he has AK and puts villain on AQ. Still, that's a mighty thin river vb if he does make it - if opponent is nitty.
