toddy jones hasn't been doing half bad lately. [/ QUOTE ] he's a human heart attack waiting to happen nonetheless. How Foxsports has him ranked the #2 reliever this year is beyond me. Their metrics are retarted. |

Re: Joel Zumaya and closing
BP convinced me that Zumaya would get the closer's job this year so I picked him up like 2 days into our fantasty season.
I've really enjoyed following his season, this kid is a beast. |

Re: Joel Zumaya and closing
I think Fernando Rodney will get the next shot after Todd Jones. Zumaya will be a great closer in a few years, but he's still the 7th inning guy right now.
People have been writing Jones off for at least two years, and he's been a solid closer for awhile. Same with Wickman. So they arent pictures of health, they still get guys out when it matters. Jones is leading the majors in saves, so I'd say he's doing his job. |

I hate this thread for making Zumaya give up runs today

Re: Joel Zumaya and closing
Jones is still under contract for next year. Rodney is next in line for the closers role. Zumaya has a better chance of going back to the starting rotation than he does closing.
