I'm sorry, did you say something? I was busy admiring that girl's well toned triceps.

I think karak is just enjoying getting Sox fans' hopes up.

According to SI:

They talked to the Braves about Andruw Jones but didn't want to surrender Jon Lester and Craig Hansen and Coco Crisp. Maybe one of those players in a package (Crisp), but not all three.

As Theo would say, sometimes the best deals are the ones you don't make. If they gave all that up for Sir Stiffy, I'd break down and cry.

No I seriously saw the rumor that some anonymous team had officially claimed him on waivers.

The next 23 games (after today's game at Oakland) will be huge for the Sox. 17 at home and 6 away against the two worst teams in the AL (OK, so TB usually plays them well). I think they have a chance to put some distance between them and the Yankees/Blue Jays.

4-8 since you posted this on July 26, and two of those four wins were handed to us by the Cleveland bullpen.

Foulke is due back soon, hope he can contribute.

The further the Sox fall behind in the race, the further this thread falls from Page One.

sox are not as bad as they have looked recently, nor as good as they looked during those 7 game win streaks.

yawn

of course, the royals winning me 10k+ the past 3 days makes the losses easier to deal with

But in reality, your expected value over that 3 day stretch was nowhere near 10k
