this game is an eternal rollarcoaster.
right now im pretty happy becuase i picked up about $600. all becuase AsKx>AA when all in on an all spade board. have to say my game definitely got stagnant, what i blame 3 weeks of breakeven. since thursday i dropped down to 2 tabling then worked up to 4 tabling. incredible to actually play poker again, not just raise with your set preflop hand range, then fire 1 c-bet when checked to, etc etc. been having a lot of fun playing a 40-60/25-35 style. nonetheless though, isnt exactly uber profitable, though managed to pick up about $4K at 2-4nl. going to go back to 8 tabling now though and hopefully i can keep the aggression going. stuff like 30/22 CO raises, i call in BB with 44. flop comes 57A. now i fire all the time on that board, whereas recently i'd just been check-folding. really does make a difference when people view you as a guy who will bet all 3 streets, will bet, raise, call with junk etc. the jury is still out on how im playing, but right now to play some poker rather than on autopilot is more fun. though i still think so much does boil down to getting the big hands and getting paid rather than being able to be some outplaying machine. |
