[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] You are still being really results oriented. Where you complaining when Feeley threw 10 yard passes on first down? Passing isn't FPS. [/ QUOTE ] QFT. Play to win, especially against the Patriots at home. [/ QUOTE ] Play to win? Are you [censored] kidding me? Who is the playmaker on the team? It is BrianfuckingWestbrook. Get him the ball. Troll Inc,
What if Westbrook was the number one option on the pass and was covered. If they ran up the middle twice and kicked on third and 4 would you say good play calling? |

Ok, so if those 2 onside kicks hadnt been recovered by the eagles, and none of those trick plays worked, than I am assuming by you the score would have still been a 3 point differential? [/ QUOTE ] First of all, I saw one onside kick, so either I completely missed one or you saw an extra one that I didn't see. Second of all, I saw one flea flicker, and that was it. What other trick plays are you talking about? |

The Pats are gassed on D. Westbrook is your best player, you want to kill some clock, so the play is to go with Westbrook unless you have some great reason not to. Here's what Reid thinks... "They will expect us to run with Westbrook so we'll throw down the field". Reid does this repeatedly season in and season out. [/ QUOTE ] Patriots defense sure looked gassed - Asante Samuel was five yards beyond the Eagles' receiver. you are being ridiculous. which is entirely expected from a philadelphia fan. |

[ QUOTE ] How about passing because Feeley is throwing for EIGHT yards per pass and Westbrook is running for like THREE yards per carry? Were the Eagles doing anything on the ground? I didn't see it. [/ QUOTE ] There is no argument, they should have run on that play. Period. [/ QUOTE ] I think they should have to but it really wasnt that bad of a play, Feeley had Smith wide open for the first down. I mean you have to know if its not there don't force it in that situation. |

Re: ***Official SNF PHI/NE thread***
kicked on 3rd and 4? wtf are u talking about? the play was clearly designed for the curtis samuel one on one matchup. It was a terrible throw, and it was a terrible play call.
Eagles should have run on 2nd, if they got 2 yards or more they should have run again. And then again. And then again. Reid doesnt get it though he would have thrown every down from then on out HYACHYHYACHYAHCYHAYCHYAHCYAHCYHACYH |

Re: ***Official SNF PHI/NE thread***
I mean, sure, you can dial up one or two extra runs, but you really don't want the drive to stall. Feeley is passing for EIGHT yards every time he drops back, you really can't ignore that and say they should have ran Westbrook 3 straight times on that drive or even once.
The play-calling on the final drive was fine. I mean, there's a lot of times where you could probably criticize Andy Reid (like clock management at the end of halfs or something), but not this game. They run the ball, this drive stalls, Patriots have huge equity. Passing the ball will get it into the endzone more, and that's what matters at that point in the game. Running the ball there is good when it's working. It really wasn't this game, and the Eagles were excellent in pass protect, and Feeley wasn't making many bad throws. Edit: Yeah, screen call there is probably fine/good idea. |
