Yeah, you gotta freaking change the rules.

[/ QUOTE ]

How do you change it, though? You can't call a TO before a FG after the players are set on the line?

[/ QUOTE ]

I know, this is what I was thinking about after the OAK/CLE game, its actually really hard to make this sort of thing impossible. You can say they have to relay it into the head ref or something, but how do you say no TOs on the last play? No TOs within 1 second of snap? There arent any great solutions

[/ QUOTE ]

Its not an issue of Timeouts, its an issue of coaches timeouts. If a defensive player had to call the timeout, the kicker sees him and doesn't have to kick it twice. Pure abuse of a recent rule change IMO.

HOW 'BOUT THEM COWBOYS!!!

That kicker has icewater in his veins.

Oh, and that goddamn, annoying timeout rule before kicks HAS to be abolished. It is the most absurd, unfair, unethical rule in the NFL.

Wow. Horrible coaching on the 2nd to last play allowing the Cowboys to throw the short out of bounds pass. As if everyone in the stadium didn't know that was the only play they could run. WTF?

[/ QUOTE ]
It's a tough play to defend against

[/ QUOTE ]

I can't tell if this is a level, but they called a prevent defense. There was no one within 7 yards.

[/ QUOTE ]
Not a level. Even with a guy on him the offense has a big timing advantage

Cowboys O against the Patriots defense suddenly looks a lot less interesting than it did 3 hours ago.

Bill Belichick confused Peyton Manning. I wonder what he's going to do against Tony Romo.

I forgot that coaches used to not be able to call TOs.
