no offense but these results prove nothing either way. They probably played 600-700 hands over the past two days and Brian is up like nine buyins at a super aggressive game.

Oh yea I know, but it's still so much fun.

Lol at 600-700 hands. Playing HU they were probably getting at very least 60-70h/hr, more like 100 with an automatic shuffler. Either way the point still stands whether its 600 hands or (more likely) 3000 hands.

brian is going to lose a big chunk of his bankroll tonight..people can criticize sammy's play cause they get to watch him on tv, but i think everyone would STFU if they had to sit across from him risking hundred's of thousands per hand...also i'm sure sammy has picked up a million tells on brian, especially in omaha, which is probably why aba was up at first huge and then sammy turned the whoel thing around...brian, as good as he is, doesn't know how to squeez cards and doesn't know how to put chips in the pot without giving off information...he gets to look at his four hole cards and the board in the comfort of his own home without anyone watching his eyes online...id be very suprised he didn't get killed in this game..

AMEN.

I'd put my bankroll on Sammy winning this.

Even if it was just NLHE, I'd still say Sammy wins. He is NO WHERE near as bad as you guys seem to think on NLHE. Where are you getting this from? TV play? Ridiculous, its TV, you try to have an image.

Sammy will outplay Townsend 9/10.

Mmm crow is delicious.

lol touche.

However, had Brian lost, you guys would chalk it up to "variance", so I'm gonna pull that same card.

I don't think so. If it had just been PLO, it'd be variance, with NL in there, Sammy had no real chance of doing better than breakeven.

If Sbrugby or any friend of his is reading this:

a) What dou you think about Sammy's game? (both NL and PLO)
b) Can you post some interesting hands?

although I doubt numbers will ever be posted, all indications are that Sammy was a huge loser in the games so far.

Aba won 1.8MM
BA won about 400k
Serb won 700k
Bobby Baldwin won a lot (possibly >500k from BA's trip report)

It's very possible that Sammy went off for a huge amount above and beyond what he lost to aba HU.

All,

"I was up 1.2 million, then down to +400K, then back up to 1.8 million."

1.8M win is huge, and SICK SICK SICK, but it's really not nearly as big as it sounds in relation to 1K/2K/4K PLO. That is just an INSANELY huge game.

While it seems like Brian definitely has what it takes to sit in this game, at the same time I think a lot of you vastly underestimate how easy it would have been for him to end up down 500k or a million instead of up almost 2M.
