Then come October, I think you'll be fine when they are once again golfing.

I think it has to do with the 3 year contract they gave him. Fortunately the FO hasn't made very many bad decisions since Omar got here. But signing a 33 year old lefty specialist who has a torn tendon in his leg to a 3 year/11 million contract (that's more than the Orioles gave Bradford btw) is certainly looking like it might be one.

This past off-season it seemed to me that the Mets seriously undervalued the FA reliever market. Now this is what we get stuck with.

argh, lefty specialists are hard to come by so that obviously boosted his value...but still...too bad ring is gone...

The guy should flat out never face a Right Handed batter. They are .350 against him with a .761 Slugging %.

But really his big problem has been walks. 19 in 22 innings. That's unbelievable. 9 of those 19 have been against LEFT HANDED HITTERS who are only batting .167 off of him this year. THAT MAKES ME WANT TO PULL MY HAIR OUT!

Wow at Ordonez's numbers this year. How come I haven't heard more about him this year? I know we aren't at the all-star break yet but he has Triple Crown numbers.

And great play there by Reyes to rob one from Magglio.

I've been saying for the last 2 months that Maggs (if he can get the HRs) will hit for the triple crown... but I can't find odds on it anywhere

Definite great play by Reyes there.

Why does Willie keep putting these guys who can't hit in the 2-hole?

Ricky Ledee has been called up and in the lineup. Blah. At least it was Newhan sent down and not Gotay.
