I just had dinner with Claire's family (mum, dad, bro, sis). We've been officially going out for...4 days...and she's already met my parents (briefly).

FWIW, my walls are white (well, relatively, they're like a cream white with white trim around the bottom) and I have lightish brown hardwood floors.

Since you live in Japan, maybe you (or anyone else who knows) can tell me how this whole "idol" thing there works. Of the various J-Dramas I've seen, it seems that they often star some guy from a boy band. These boy bands sometimes have 30+ year olds in them, though. Are their fans still young teenage girls?

And is there some reason the opposite isn't true, seeing female "idols" starring in dramas?

Well, I don't know idols or dramas all that well, but I do know that female idols do star in dramas. And yeah I know their fanbase is mostly high school girls.
