i am beginning to really hate the white sox tv announcers. i don't know who says it, but "HE GONE!" strikeout call sounds very lame and very white.

because of farnsy, Mo got a save. in a 7 run game.

actually, mussina pitched well. removing him after 80 pitches was a WTF moment. i guess joe was trying to preserve the 1-0 lead right there, but it's silly to play matchups with tying run on third, no outs, and 3 more innings to play.

this is the second start out of the last three that torre has given the quick hook to mussina. either torre's a complete moron (entirely possible) or they're being very careful with mussina's pitch counts.

rivera only threw 9 pitches in the 8th, and he rested yesterday. it sucks, but bruney/britton/villone are all available tomorrow.
