also, CTS, I got my big hand graph to work by telling it to stop after about 70k hands and doing the last 15k hands separately.

In any case, those calculators are completely worthless since they don't address hand ranges.

[/ QUOTE ]

um, how could you say that about Sklansky bucks vs actual buck in all-in pots?

It is mathematically proven that Sklansky bucks earned are more likely going to be closer to your actual earn than actual bucks

So 'completely worthless' seems a bit much

[/ QUOTE ]

You have to factor in Money won without showdown (which phils program does). Lots of nit-tags posted graphs with nice looking sklansky (red) lines, but their expected winnings were 0 cause they fold too much.

Anyone posting a graph should post the "Expected Total Winnings (ETW-teal)" lines on the graphs.

And whoever asked, I am +net run over 70k hands or so.

te he he

And I agree with ahnuld on the confidence factor. Even if it is somewhat inaccurate, it is still a good way to ride through a bad run. Im nearly detached from PT results and basically go off daily "Expected total winnings" from PokerEV.

If I were you I would just drop down to 200NL for a while to grind and really study/think about the game a lot. Then move back up when your winrate is at a decent level.

So basically I'm finding this new tool very useful, I definitely think it "has merit". Not for the purposes of "wow now I can prove to these jerks in MSNL and BBV that I really do run worse than any of them haha!" *cough*reef*cough* - but as another tool to help me improve. I'm pretty sure using every tool available to study, improve, and keep a level head is the exact "right mindset to play poker for a living".

[/ QUOTE ]

why does everyone cough before and after saying my name?

---

I'm mainly using this thing as a tool to not go insane.. probably relieve any left over perma-tilt. Anything to play better/keep playing good.
