When you run good, chips flow freely to your stack, and it is fun. Two examples from the CAZ 20 game last night, both against same villain.
Firs hand, I open raise JJ UTG, villain threebets UTG+2, one more caller, BB calls and I call. Flop comes Qxx, check check, he bets, call, BB calls, I call. Turn x, check check, he bets, fold, BB calls, I call. River A, check, check, he bets, BB folds, and I am staring at a huge pot, and this guy can have anything from AA to T7o, so I close my eyes and call, and hear the beautiful words of ‘nice call’ and he shows KT, and BB whines about folding a queen. Few hands later: Half kill pot, 2 limpers, I throw in 2 more chips with 75o in BB, and killer/villain raises, both call, and I decide to speculate and call. Flop comes J76, check, killer bets, fold, call, I call. Turn is a 4, and it gets checked around. River a 5, I check, killer bets (what is he representing here???), next player shrugs and calls, and I decide to close my eyes and call, since it doesn’t feel caller has a straight. Killer shows a stupidly bet 99, caller shows 45s, and I scoop another nice pot with a better two pair! Just to show how crazy this villain was playing, he raised, got a cold caller, and I called with T8s in BB, flop comes 876, check, he bets, call, I call. Turn 4, and its time to put him to the test, so I bet, and he instantly raises AA, other guy calls down with 99, and I obv folded turn. Unless he is an amazing hand reader, his turn raise is very reckless…Enough rambling, time to get back to work. |

And a dealer rant I have to get off my chest. Some guy had been moved from a must move, and we were currently playing 5 handed when he sat down, and he woulda been directly behind the button, but being a nit, he wanted to wait all the way around again until he came in for free, so whatever.
So a new dealer comes in, and there are two missed blind buttons, and this guy is also waiting, but without any button indicating that. So I say to the dealer "seat 3 is waiting, and everything else is as advertised" And the dealer replies "so are you my new boss?" So I apologize, and say I meant no harm, just trying to help him out. So what does he do his first hand, deals the guy in seat 3 cards, after giving me lip about me informing him that seat 3 is waiting. Sigh. |

John goes on, "yeah, I was stationed in Iran and drunk with a bunch of my army buddies. We met some girls and I was drunk, and then I ended up breaking my penis.". WTF? Everyone starts laughing. Another player says "John, I would have never guessed. You would be the last person we would have suspected!!!". Even Laura is laughing.
John -- "yeah, those were the good days. I still remember her, she was a blondie". [/ QUOTE ] One discrepancy in John's story: There are no blondes in Iran. But I am sure you let it go so he could go to his grave with this fantasy. |

I got called by a pair of 4s in 2-7 a couple hours ago. I had a pair of 8s.
Can they see my cards? |

Fun one from the 40. I have A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]9 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] in BB. Several people including a very very loose Asian player limp, button raises, I call out of BB, everyone calls. Flop is A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]10 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]Q [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. I check to see what happens, it's checked to the button who bets, I raise and it folds to the Asian player who coldcalls. The button then folds.
The turn is the 4 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] giving me the flush draw. I bet, the loose player calls. The river is the 3 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. I bet, the loose player raises. I've seen him do this and muck a few times, so I call. He rolls over the 10 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]3 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] to the delight of his family and friends standing behind him. Jeff |

Finished 2 off the money in the WPT Limit event. Very frustrating, played extremely well throughout. Great to meet everyone, especially Ben, who I got to spend some serious time with. My wife was bummed he doesn't live on the East Coast full time, as she wants to hook him up with all her hot friends.

If I have one more decent loss it will put me back onto a 300 hour break even streak, in good to great games. So sick.

Flop is A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]10 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]Q [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. The turn is the 4 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] giving me the flush draw. [/ QUOTE ] This must have been the picked up Ocean flush draw. I learned in our fun 4 handed 75 game the other night it goes river, ocean, atmosphere, galaxy, then universe card. Like you could have me drawing dead by the river but I probably have you crushed by the universe. Also if you put too many bets in on the flop and then go runner runner its cool because you probably crushed the "inverse flop". There were more great gems but I forgot some. -DeathDonkey |
