Bankroll management, fyi.

Good luck.

Well, this time round I've not gone above $2/$4. The biggest spin-up I ever had, once I'd got my $400 deposit up to $2000 I sat at a $10/$20 PLO table and left with $5500. But I don't have the balls to do that any more. I want to play bad players, not good ones.

Now move down to 50PLO and don't move up until you hit $5k.

Okay in true BBV style, I went on monkey tilt and spewed off $800 two-tabling - too dumb to focus on more than one - so cancelled all my withdrawals, sat with half my money on a $5/$10 table, and got it all in on the fourth hand I was dealt, the first I'd seen a flop with. Here's what happened:

GAME #619984196: Omaha PL $5.00/$10.00 2007-08-07 01:31:12
Table Garpike (No DP)
Seat 1: Button ($686.00 in chips) DEALER
Seat 3: Small Blind ($1,075.00 in chips)
Seat 5: Big Blind ($3,464.41 in chips)
Seat 6: Villain ($1,011.25 in chips)
Seat 8: UTG+1 ($1,883.00 in chips)
Seat 10: Hero ($985.00 in chips)
Small Blind: Post SB $5.00
Big Blind: Post BB $10.00
*** HOLE CARDS ***
Dealt to Hero [10[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]
Dealt to Villain [9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]]
Villain: Raise $20.00
UTG+1: Raise $68.00
Hero: Call $68.00
Button: Fold
Small Blind: Fold
Big Blind: Fold
Villain: Call $48.00
*** FLOP *** [8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]]
Villain: Check
UTG+1: Check
Hero: Bet $219.00
Villain: Raise $438.00
UTG+1: Fold
Hero: Allin $698.00
Villain: Call $479.00
*** TURN *** [6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]]
*** RIVER *** [5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]]
*** SUMMARY ***
Total pot $2,050.00 Rake $3.00
Hero: wins $2,050.00

So £1599 in account. Time for bed now I think!

Yes good idea, but CDPoker is a pile of crap when it comes to cashing out. Even after you've sent them photocopies of your credit card, passport and proof of address, it takes them 24-48 hours to even process your withdrawal, and until you do that you can cancel it. I know it's the same on Party and Full Tilt, but they do at least process it within an hour or so.

I am thinking to move to a UK-based iPoker skin as I expect the payment service will be a lot better. Betfred - which is a UK high street bookmakers - have an iPoker skin, and I think in the future that will be my best bet.

I really don't know... maybe £10k? £15k tops. A lot of the money I've lost at poker has been money I won at poker. So I can remember with horror -£1k nights, but they mostly came after +£1k nights. I did keep records from September to December last year and I was a winner for that period, up a few thousand Euros on B2B. But, clearly, I've been a net loser overall.

I did blow about £2k on poker which was part of an inheritance. I also have a £2700 / $5400 credit card bill which I ran up playing £10/£20 a year or so back - thankfully I have an arrangement with the company whereby I've paid no interest for 18 months and just £10 a month.

Maybe I could use this money to pay some of that off... or maybe not!
