Re: P5\'s top donk-n-go player is going pro
I guess the 16k she won from $5 sngs allowed her to move up to $15's, who really cares about roi anyway.. all about $/hr.

Re: P5\'s top donk-n-go player is going pro
"PunkinBear 470 $3.59 $16 28% $1,680 - FullTilt x
PunkinBear 893 $6.61 $15 36% $5,899 - PokerStars before we go crazy judging her and making fun of her, lets look at her results, combined shes got over 30%roi over 1200 games, there are few people with the same avg stake who can compare with those results -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1200 games is nothing. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- These are the best results at this levels I have ever seen. Really f the haters. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1200 sngs is less than a month worth to a Full time SNG player. Plenty of people here have run that hot over that sample. " she also wrote that she plays 10% of the time and teaches 90%; and gave out her screen name over like 5 or so sites, i only posted two of them (ran out of searches). this may explain the low sampling. 1200+ seems like a decent measure of skill at them, ive played 800+ and my roi hasnt changed after like 300 of them and i work on my game. |

Re: P5\'s top donk-n-go player is going pro
Assuming a 10 player SNG with 5:3:2 payout structure. The expected variance in payout would be:-
----------1st place-------------2nd place------------3rd place 1200 * ( [(5*5) * (0.9*0.1)] + [(3*3) * (0.9*0.1)] + [(2*2)* 0.9*0.1)]) = 4104 (buyins^2) So the SD would be ~64 buyins. Or and ROI of about 5%. She's definitely a winning player at $15 SNG's. Whether that means she's any good at poker is another matter. |

Re: P5\'s top donk-n-go player is going pro
In the other BBV thread that came up about here a while back there were defenses of her with "wow look at the ROI- she must know what she says."
I think much of the ripping comes based on the claims to be the best/among the best, because she doesnt even play many of the games herself that she is likely coaching for. There is much more smoke than fire to her claims. Edited to take out the part where I said I thought it was revealed she played a lot of multitable sngs- because I could be mistaken on that memory so won't make it a point right now. |
