How do soldiers deal with fear??

[/ QUOTE ]

Hear a round go off, turn to your right and see one of your boys beside you, forget the fear, then do the job you were trained to do.

-Marines aren't "soldiers", members of the U.S. Army are Soldiers. Marines are Marines.

OP-what unit were you with? and when did you do your two tours?

edit:during Phantom Fury?

[/ QUOTE ]

LOL I was going point out the Soldier thing but decided to not be a nit. I was with 8th Comm and RCT-8 out of lejeune.
No I got there a few months after Phantom Fury, in January

First, thanks much for your service.

How do soldiers feel about Iraq war protesters? I have done it on a few occasions andif you watch Fox News or some bs like that, you'll see selected soldiers talking about how the protesters are being disrespectful or whatever.

How do most soldiers feel about people protesting the war and wanting to bring the soldiers home? Do they feel touched or they feel anger toward the protesters? Somehwere in between?

Do most soldiers distinguish between war protesting and soldier protesting?

[/ QUOTE ]

Most people realize the difference between the two. However there are those groups who show up at funerals and say God killed them because the military supports gays, or something stupid like that. Ive never seen the protests except on TV

Thank you for fighting for us. Better to kill those terrorists there, rather than in New York.

Did you bring back any Iraqi Dinar? There are rumors of a revaluation of the currency.

[/ QUOTE ]

I do have some Dinar old ones w/ saddam and the new joints.

No kiddin? A couple of my buddies have been/still are/were in Lejeune after a couple of tours in Ramadi. They were with 3/2, one was a corpsman and the other was an 0311 but is out now. Did you know a Col. Mortensen when you were with RCT-8?

Is illicit booze available? What are the penalties if you're caught? Assuming you don't pass out while on watch or anything really serious like that.
