This is an awesome point, Ivey is indeed the Tiger Woods of poker as we all know and 20 years down the road when we look back on both of their careers we'll be saying similar things. Of the 30 or so bracelets Ivey is going to win probably 10-12 will be because other guys couldn't handle the pressure and attention that comes with sitting at the same table of a player of his calibre.

Are there any left handed poker players that can be called the Phil Mikkelson of poker?

Uhhh...That would be I.

OP, link to Ivey only playing 50K and ME?

[/ QUOTE ]

Ivey said he was only playing those two tourneys when interviewed during the WPT championship.

OP will not be posting here anymore under his current screenname because he lost a bet to me and is going to run from it.

No. See left handed people are somewhat ... um ... IQ deficient. This is not a huge drawback in golf which is mainly physical (but may account for Mickelson making so many boneheaded decisions in contention for major tournaments) but is a huge drawback in poker. Thus only a right handed player can be Mickelson to Ivey.

I am just too good at leveling, no one gets it.

[/ QUOTE ]

If you have to say this, you really aren't good at leveling.

Your momma is really good at leveling.

Yep, good gene pool.

7 millions in tourny winnings yes, but what about the 70 million in buyins? Hmmm?

[/ QUOTE ]

$70 million in buy-ins? So apparently Phil Ivey has played in 7,000 $10k events. That's a 10k event every day for 19 years. Ivey is 31 years old. I guess he started playing those events when he was 12. That must have been a hell of a fake ID.

[/ QUOTE ]

Apparently the leveling is working to some degree.

This is the most ridiculous thread I have ever seen on this site. Ivey might be the best in the world but he is like 3% to win the horse and less than 1% to win the main event.
