Re: ARRGHHH
Pirates,
I thought there was way too much plot stuff. I know I sound like an idiot saying this but there was waaaaaay too much plot stuff. The movie could have been an hour shorter and just as good IMO. The ending fight sequence was great but disappointing because if there was more of that in the movie it would have been much better. Knocked Up, Very funny, I enjoyed it a lot. No real complaints it was basically what I expected. I thought Paul Rudd was hilarious. Oceans 13, About what I expected I thought some of the gadgets were a bit over the top but w/e that doesn't really bother me much. It was pretty good mindless entertainment. Also Super Dave was awesome. |

Re: ARRGHHH
O13 was pretty disappointing until the last 5 minutes. The last 5 minutes made it solid, IMO. Definitely nothing special, but I like quick entertainment, and Ocean's 13 moved pretty quick.

Re: ARRGHHH
Went for another triple play today, coulda done 4, but buddy had to leave early.
----- Mild Spoilers (not really graphic/detailed ones) ----- Oceans 13 Lots of vegas, and it works. The plans are not overly elaborate, and the movies focuses less on the heist, and more on the ??? Pacino is a stud in this one IMO. Overall, the movie was my favorite of the three. Mr. Brooks Dane Cook, Demi Moor, William Holden, and Kevin Costner. An ambitious plot, that they just couldn't pull off. Solid performances, however at times I say too myself "is this scene necessary" Also, demi is hot, but totally unnecessary in the movie IMO. Knocked Up Prolly the best movie I saw (if I wasnt a gambling degen, It'd prolly be my favorite one too). Chartacters play their parts so well (all 10 of them), and the story is so sincere. Nothing is korny or lame either; all the jokes and dialogue is like very "real", and not "movie-like". This is the new wedding crashers IMO. |

Re: ARRGHHH
john,
"Went for another triple play today, coulda done 4, but buddy had to leave early." I'm assuming this is "go to a theater and then just stay there and walk into more movies" style? If so, that brings back good memories of my younger days! Maybe I'll do it next weekend! |

Re: ARRGHHH
All,
Saw Ocean's 13 this weekend. During the movie, I liked it. Right after the movie, I felt entertained and thought it was pretty good. A few minutes later, I found myself thinking: WTF, there was no plot! WTF, how many f'ing people did they just bribe to make their scam work? WTF, where was all the ingenious stuff? WTF, where was the tension and excitement? After thinking about this for not very long, I decided that I really didn't think much of this movie at all. I'll still probably watch it again when it comes out on HBO, though. |

Re: ARRGHHH
Saw Knocked Up with g/f. As preamble, I don't mind "chick flicks" as long as it's a good movie.
This was awful. 2+ hrs of movie for 30 mins of content. My political views are well to the right of center, but was this movie financed by Right to Life? |

Re: ARRGHHH
I though Knocked Up was 10x funnier than wedding crashers.
I've always though WC was vastly overrated |
