Oasis - The whole Definately Maybe album.
Blur - Download Song 2 (Song 2 is the track name) and This is a Low in particular.

Maybe try a little Happy Mondays. Download Step on and Kinky Afro.

Stone Roses - Download I Am The Ressurection and I wanna be adored.
The Smiths - download How Soon Is Now

And if you want something a bit more current, check out the Arctic Monkeys album - Whatever People Say I Am, Thats What I'm Not.

Good Luck

Though I guess they're really a late-80s band, I can't believe I haven't seen Jane's Addiction mentioned here.

If you like Pearl Jam/Soundgarden, you really should check out Mother Love Bone, and Temple of the Dog.

If you are going to include Temple of the Dog, you might as well add in Mad Season

oh, and speaking of Mad Season, check out the Screaming Trees. they never got as much love as the rest of the bands in the grunge movement, but they're pretty good.

KYUSS for the love of [censored]. Welcome to Sky Valley. Required [censored] reading. Its a shame how few people know of this album.

Peach - Birthing a Stone is decent.

Far - Water and Solutions.

Filter
Mad Season
The Toadies put out a good album.
Weezer.

I like Monster Magnet for stoner grunge.

Two pages and no one has mentioned Faith No More. Probably the most underrated rockband of the nineties.

Alice in Chains is a must. I suggest starting with Dirt.
