when u speak of getting paid off on value bets as competition gets harder, do you mean hand reading as far as havin a good idea when opponent has like mid pair and sizing accordingly or when he has air and will bet if checked to, all those things that add up [/ QUOTE ] I meant it in the most general way possible. 5/10 players have a better idea of when they're ahead and when they're beat, how much an opponent can call, etc...

[/ QUOTE ] [/ QUOTE ] um of course. The more accurately you can pinpoint a guy's holdings the more you can exploit it. Everything you said is a part of hand reading and acting accordingly. Of course you also have to open up your range so that you don't become predictable to other players.
