[/ QUOTE ] For a lot of this time, I was homeless, so I pretty much got treated the same way other homeless people get treated. The difference was I was 13 at the time, and white, so I was treated with more sympathy in some instances. AFAIK, I never really stunk as badly as some of the really terrible homeless people. I know "you can't smell yourself", but you can read reactions. Whenever I see one of the really terrible smelling vomit inducing homeless people, everyone reacts very strongly. I never got that reaction. My parents would complain a lot, and my sister would also. One time, my dad tried to pick me up and force me into the bathroom to shower. I wrestled with him, and he ended up falling through his 60" TV. Needless to say, I ran out the door when that happened. I think I was 12 or 13 at the time. Not showering, or changing my clothes was part of my extreme depression, and hatred for the world. I was also kinda whacko when I was a teenager. Anyway, I'm not that bad anymore. I try to wear fresh clothes when I go out, but I always shower and brush my teeth and wear deodorant if I'm ever going to see anyone. A lot of the time, I'm just wearing a robe around the house, or wearing nothing at all, so wearing the same clothes 4-5 times in a row when I go out isn't as bad as it would be if I wore them 24 hours a day. I've never had a skin infection. My acne has never been extreme either.

I had a buddy once who took a shower before going skiing, and I thought that was really weird. after is ok I guess.

I groomed pretty regularly in public bathrooms. I used soap on my armpits, brushed my teeth with my finger in the sink, and washed my hair with water in the sink. I also smoked a lot of cigarettes. I'm not saying I wasn't filthy. I just didn't smell that bad.
I also wanted to say that I think you guys are too quick to marginalize me. People that grew up with some of the personal and family problems I had are usually in jail, homeless, totally uneducated, dead, drug addicts, etc. They don't make it into your circle of friends, and don't post in OOT. It probably seems like I'm a total freak, but I'm not. Some of you guys just have your eyes closed, or live in a bubble. I can't criticize any of you for that, because it's not my place to judge. Please don't think you're better than me just because you are more "normal" than I am though.

My stats for the past year are probably Pants-A month Undies-A week Sex-May 06 W/O talking-Less than 2 days W/O going outside- less than 4 days Brushing teeth - A week Bathing/showering - Less than 2 weeks I think not getting laid has a lot to do with my personality, and my lifestyle, and the way I dress.
