I've finally added everyone. Good to see the cool Mii's getting over to my wii. I just wanted to note, I was using the wii-mote to add these for the first half and it took forever. I plugged in my Classic Controller and it made for adding people so much easier using the analog stick. Just in case some of you are getting frustrated doing these.

Enter them in your addres book and set your Miis to wander. Within days, you will have dozens of Miis to add to your collection.

two other points:
internet < 802.11b (let alone g), so downloading over ethernet is not any faster, and
wifi routers are pretty cheap these days usually with a rebate.
