I really need to cut out the fast food, but I don't think this is going to work.

Hmm. I need a partner or something to punish me.

tinga,

Including diet soda or no?

[/ QUOTE ]

Yes, no diet or regular. Only water/juice.

Water rules.

[/ QUOTE ]

Meh, juice can be nearly as bad as soda.

I am proud to say that as of 1/1/07 I will have gone a full year without drinking any sugar beverages.

I'd like to stop eating fast food(I've already curtailed it to a couple meals a week), but I am terrible at cooking. I ruin almost everything I prepare no matter how much money I spend. I would eat healthy food all the time if someone else made it.

I'm in on this quest, $50 for charity if I slip up... have been off fast food completely for the past 8 weeks so I'm in the groove. It is annoying having to cook meals for just myself (so inefficient), but the food quality is so much better. I work full time so there is no reason to not find the time to cook as opposed to being in univ. I never ate fast food in high school (parents always cooked well), and was very active, sports and the gym 5+ a week. Then of course in univ fast food becomes so convenient. It leads to a terrible cycle - loss of energy, loss of motivation to go to the gym, eating fast food for the craving and not the enjoyment. These things all propagate.

The only exceptions I'm making are for drive through coffee and the occasional bagel w/ the coffee.

A 2007 prop bet for dedication to the gym is also in order!

I tend to bring left-overs for lunch as an alternative; I usually cook too much for the two of us at home. Sometimes I get all industrious and cook big meals JUST for the left-overs, like a big lasagna partioned into a bunch of tupperwares. (I don't expect this method is for everybody.)

actually Sam if you're only shopping for one or two people, it can be really hard to buy small enough amounts of food if you don't cook that often. but if you buy more and plan on making leftovers, it's easier to shop and lets you cook less

I'm in for $50 per.

I have two boys who will drag me to McD's periodically, but I will have the grilled chicken salad, which doesn't count.

I will define my prohibited list as any kind of burger, fried chicken, fries, pizza, breakfast muffins etc, any kind of taco/burrito etc.

Starts at midnight tonight!

I'm 100% with you.

Few questions about what constitutes fast food, mainly:
1) Panera bread?
2) Moe's burrito's?
3) Subway?
4) Food court restaurants?

What do you guys think?

Dids slipped The Pizza Question in under the radar, with cover from "Is KFC FastFood?".

What's the deal? With regards to the pact, is pizza fast food?
