After the first half I was thinking..dammit...D Hendersen is gonna disappear again-guess I can't rely on him in the playoffs next week.

He obviously only has one route...Go Deep.

So why do players always try to tuck the ball inside the pylon if the line extends into forever?

[/ QUOTE ]

Because they don't understand the rule. The player has to have some part of his body cross the goal-line inside the pylons and the ball can then cross the goal-line outside the pylons and it's still a TD.

[/ QUOTE ]

i'm pretty sure the outside the pylon rule is a new interpretation made up by the NFL to justify Vick's td that one day....similar to the tuck rule's magical appearance.

I'm pretty sure Madden's wrong about the rule.

[/ QUOTE ]

Madden is right, the Goal line extends across the world. I'm not entirely sure why they always dive for the pylon. There is probably more to the rule than I personally know.

What was the name of the guy the Houston Texans drafted..hmm I can't even remember

[/ QUOTE ]

Because he's a DE, and nobody knows the name of college DE's (unless they went to your alma mater, which this one did ).

I'm thinking maybe that some part of your body needs to stay inbounds at all times, where "inbounds" is defined by airspace. So if you're diving out of bounds, you need to keep your hand inbounds. Just my guess though.
