I don't think any specific mod wants to take responsibility for being the one that banned younghov, cause you know, he'll find you.

Wow, downside variance is pretty tough... When you started the downswing, you can drop down in limits and play a little tighter. (Pushing your edges)

When people in general are on a downswing, they also tend to make more mistakes. I noticed the following hand to be one:

Preflop: Hero is Button with A, A.
UTG calls $4, 1 fold, CO calls $4, Hero raises to $22, SB calls $20, BB calls $18, UTG folds, CO calls $18.

Flop: ($92) 7, A, 3 (4 players)
SB checks, BB checks, CO checks, Hero checks.

Turn: ($92) 6 (4 players)
SB checks, BB checks, CO bets $55, Hero calls $55, SB folds, BB folds.

River: ($202) T (2 players)
CO bets $142.45 (All-In), Hero calls $142.45.

With 4 players seeing the flop, you have to start eliminatng them or charge them $$$ for seeing the turn. You know that you should have made a PSB off the flop here...

I think it's mistakes like this one that will continue the downside swing....

Best of luck with future games....

Take a break for about 2 or 3 days. Don't even think about poker. Find a book that you've always wanted to read and go to a park with it. Go to a book store and spend the afternoon there. Invite over a friend who does not play poker and cook up a nice meal. Just stop for a short while and then get back on it.

How are you not banned yet? Anyone else agree that this is some serious trolling based on thread content rather than who poster is (not just in this thread)? Everytime someone writes about a downswing Hov is right along telling us how much we all suck at poker and that we know nothing about "running bad."

NEWS FLASH HOV: WE DO! You're downswing is a combo of bad/exploitable HU play and variance that comes w/ playing HU. Go back to 6max or something.

NATION: i just wrote something up on running like crap here.

Pretty standard/boring stuff I suppose but maybe you'll find it helpful to objectively deal w/ your results.

[/ QUOTE ]

getting it in as a fav the great majority of the time and losing is definitly what people are exploiting against me. you are amazingly intelligent

[/ QUOTE ]

Hov,

You should know that that's exactly NOT what I am referring to as exploitable play. I'd answer your claims to my intellect, but I'm fairly certain that your response has already served justice.

I'm done now. You can have the last word.
