i saw them both for the first time this week. Not bad.

Can somone please explain to me why the people in The Office are reacting to the cameras? Is it a faux documentary or something?

[/ QUOTE ]

I think so. That's how the british version was, so I just figured it was here too. Did they not do that in earlier episodes? That's why there are interviews and whatnot.

[/ QUOTE ]

Yeah its a faux documentary. they did explain this at the beginning.

it was excellent. but i seem to like entirely different stuff to you guys. the boardroom scene had funny bits but was ott and a bit long.

the jelly scene was good, if predictable. jim's acting was great.

the 'let's call and get the website' line was brilliant.

can someone confirm this was written by gervais? i thought it was just one ep this season, not necessarily this one.

I don't think he wrote this one. I'll check my DVR later, but I think it would be all over the place if he did.

Michael's branch is not performing well. When they went to the branch managers meeting last season, there was some joke about how they were in the top 80% when Michael was told he was 4 out of 5.

Solid episode of The Office, although not the best ever or anything. Agree with Dids though, they need to walk the line between reality vs. surreal a little more carefully.

MNIE is watchable, but not great. It's not something I'd consider can't-miss (The Office, Scrubs, the late Arrested Development) but if I'm going to watch The Office I may as well watch MNIE. It helps that there are one or two great lines per episode ("Sonofabitch Ferris Buehler'd me!"), and that I love jabs at hicks due to growing up in a small rural town.
