I hate most of the time the guys calling specifically the next card that's going to come whether it's some random card that is not one of their opponents' outs or whether it's them rattling off "Jack, Queen, Seven, Eight!!" because those are the cards that will save them...or even the reverse-reverse psychology one where they start calling for the other guys' outs in seeming resignation that they are about to beat such as, "Put a Six up there for him."
It's all pretty idiotic and I cringe almost every time. One signficant exception is when Negreneau called the cards to come on a runner straight-flush or something like that on HUC. He doesn't call the cards out in the same douche-like way as most people. At least it doesn't bother me in the same way...not exactly sure why. And when he somehow called the exact cards that was actually pretty cool. |
