i usually avoid you seasbeast, but was hoping the guy to my left was a big fish, turned out he wasnt anyway, we played this hand. Hoping you could share your thoughts on your side and mine:

Party Poker - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $2/$4 Blinds - 5 Players - (LegoPoker Hand History Converter)

SB: $441.00
BB: $400.00
UTG: $816.55
US (CO): $400.00
BTN: $646.00

Preflop: US is dealt Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (5 Players)
UTG folds, US raises to $14.00, BTN calls $14.00, 2 folds

Flop: ($34) 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 Players)
US bets $24.00, BTN calls $24.00

Turn: ($82) T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 Players)
US bets $65.00, BTN calls $65.00

River: ($212) K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 Players)
US bets $150.00, BTN calls $150.00

Pot Size: $512.00 ($2 Rake)

BTN had Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (a pair of Kings) and WON (+$257.00)
US had Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (a pair of Queens) and LOST (-$253.00)

i thought about a cr on the turn, but figured to just keep it simple and value town a J because you've hardly ever played against me (??). What was your plan on a blank river if i checked? On this river? a heart?

thanks

hmm, i won a live donkament at my local casino when i got it in bad almost every single time i was allin. that was pretty fun. another time after i had been in a fairly long and heated verbal battle with this jerk in a 25/50 game (first time it had ran at my casino) i stacked him when i called his small reraise preflop with J2dd and then cracked his aces. that was very satisfying. but really most of my favourite times playing live were just because i stayed all night with friends cracking jokes and having a good time.

i really like oldboy, and i think everyone should see the hustler. the movie that i have seen the most times though is the big lebowski [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

ohhhh was that what it was?

i meant why did he just call the turn? thoughts on my line (maybe cr turn is better generally here?), his plans on various rivers.

floating is something i rarely do, and am pretty inexperienced in it, so was hoping to get some of seasbeats expertise

haha oops. i thought that was a good flop to float on cos it looks like i have a jack or mid pair. then the turn when you bet again i thought i had a fair few outs plus i have position so could maybe bluff the river. i was probably going to bet any river card if you checked to make sure you folded AK/AQ/trash pair bluffs that gave up. i think you played the hand well, ul.

i knew that was a decent board to float on, and with my knowledge that you are fully capable of it do you think cr > betting turn in the situation i was in?

the result did tilt me a little
