[/ QUOTE ] I agree on both counts, but by just about any statistical comparison (total chances, range factor, what have you), the Rockies defense comes up aces compared to any other club in MLB this year. And, while fielding pct. by itself is hardly the be all and end all, the best all time single season team fielding pct. must represent something, ya know?

Thanks gents, I suspect I wouldn't have figured it out. If COL wins this game they're going to the series. My god the NL is terrible this year.

Your awesome AL teams lost five of six to the Rockies this year. AL West had four teams over .500. NL Central was weak, I'll grant you that. But, last I saw, Tampa Bay, Baltimore, and Kansas City were all in the American League.
