Matthew Lillard [/ QUOTE ] Should be in the other thread. What next, Freddie Prinze Jr? |

[ QUOTE ] Matthew Lillard. This guy has got to have the worst agent ever. [/ QUOTE ] lol, i had to look this guy up. I had no idea who he was. You're talking about Shaggy? That was an awful movie! [/ QUOTE ] Same thing I was thinking -- I never heard of the guy. But, I did hear that the guy who played Shaggy was actually pretty good. |

Yeh, 'cuz nobody's ever done a good Shaggy impression before! It's not like he did Jerry Lewis or something...

Adrien Paul (Highlander and love potion movie) [/ QUOTE ] Really? I actually liked him better than Lambert but he's got B-movie written all over him. I never expected him to hit it big. |

After watching Kill Bill Vol. 2 i was convinced that David Carradine would get more movie roles. But his great haul from that exposure was a Yellowpages commercial. [/ QUOTE ] I'm surprised at this too. I wasn't really a fan of the first one, and the only reason I liked the second was because of him. Would love to see him in more than this. |

I think you could say the same thing about Pam Grier and Robert Forrester in Jackie Brown.
About the only actor you can say the Tarantino revival has worked for is Travolta and he was a much bigger star "back in the day". |

Matthew Lillard. This guy has got to have the worst agent ever. [/ QUOTE ] Incredible in SLC Punk, but he either made bad choices afterwards, or peaked in that film, because he's been pretty bad since. |

[ QUOTE ]
I think you could say the same thing about Pam Grier and Robert Forrester in Jackie Brown. [/ QUOTE ] Some truth to that, but Forrester did start getting deluged with roles, at least for a while, from what I heard. Pam Grier I'm only half surprised about. The truth is, those old blaxploitation films weren't really that great, and how many roles are there for tough ass-kicking 45 year old black women out there? [ QUOTE ] About the only actor you can say the Tarantino revival has worked for is Travolta and he was a much bigger star "back in the day". [/ QUOTE ] He was gigantic but only in a few movies. He had a ton of movies that went nowhere. Travolta has opened movies since Pulp Fiction, so I'm not sure how much bigger he could be. He's just not at that teen-idol/freaky level of media attention that younger guys get because he's too old to be that guy by now. The 18 year old girl who swoons over him, especially over his role as a hairy-bellied fat guy drug addict in Pulp Fiction, is going to be the exception rather than the rule, and that's bound to be more and more the case as the girls stay 18 but the dude just keeps getting older. |

Katheren Keener. Okay, I wasn't aware of her until 40 year old virgin, but I have seen her in other movies since (Into the Oblivion comes to mind) and she is very powerful on screen. [/ QUOTE ] She struck me in Being John Malkovich, I remember thinking 'wow, who is that?' She has been nominated for Best Supporting Oscars twice, maybe that's the kiss of death for some as pointed out elsewhere here. |

God I hope she never wins an Oscar. That is the kiss of death.
