pipedreams - Part of this is FT's problem and they aren't doing a lot of the obvious things they could be doing to fix it.
For $300 I think they should consider reimbursing the guy.

slim pickens - if that's how you feel then you don't have to choose that option and having someone take over your account on a moment's notice will still be available to you.

Also, if they had a phone I could call to add one location if something like that were to happen I wouldn't be opposed either.

Conversation would go like this:
"My internet went on. I would like to temporarily remove the 'no foreign log-in restriction' on my account."

"Done. And please be advised that the foreign log-in will not be allowed to access any new tables.
He will only be allowed to play in the tournaments you are currently involved in. This is for your acconts protection.
After he is done please feel free to get back in touch with us if you wish to have the 'no foreign log-ins' feature re-enabled."

cardcounter - it definitely makes you wonder.
Greg Raymer had his Stars account hacked but that was just some guy guessing his not-random-enough password.
The frequency of the FT stuff compared to other sites seems pretty suspicios.

WHY can't I have the option to "don't allow logging-in from any computer other than my own"?

Amen.

I have a solution for your problem: NEVER log out!

I like this idea. Then we'd get to hear even more stories like the one where a guy's girlfriend busto'd his account because she thought it was play money.

Does anyone know why this happens so much more on FT than Stars?

I said it before, and I will say it again...

Why we only hear so many accounts been hacked on FTP only and not others, if your computer has a virus or key logger, then shouldn't they hack all your accounts and why only FT?

To me, there's a high probability that FTP is the one behind this.

Prove me wrong.

I used red because as always, 90% of the reply are useless, stupid and dumb, and I will always get to to the right point, that's why people can just read my post, and skip all other dumb and useless one.

Look at those dumb reply, you have a virus, keylogger, do a scan, buy antivirus...

Ok, dumbmie, if you do have a threat on your pc, they're going to hack all your bank accounts and other accounts too, not just your ftp, and also, and so many others that i will do not have time to type right now...

Use a screensaver with a password! Also put a shortcut on your desktop to activate the screensaver and always click that when you leave. If you do that and never log out you have a failure-proof system. (Also use good antivirus/trojan/spyware/firewall software at all times! (Also keep Windows updated and don't use illegal software to be as safe as possible.)

I vaguely remember this one but would have no chance of being able to find it.

My guess would be that it is about 6 months ago perhaps?
