However, I did read Dark Lord: The Rise of Darth Vader (sucked like every other EU book I have read) and I seem to recall that it said the Clone Troopers were rapidly aging, and that the Empire started doing normal military-style recruiting. More. Legendary thread, mbillie. I watched A New Hope yesterday afternoon and all I could think about was the 4Life mspaint version of the story.

More. [/ QUOTE ] Yeah, these aren't clone troopers anymore by the time episode IV rolls around. After about 10 yrs the clone troopers aren't as effective and the Empire shut down the cloning facility, so they recruit stormtroopers after. In the book many of Luke's friends have joined the Empire in this way and he wants to go as well. Much of the rebellion was also trained this way and converted to the rebellion.
