Several Thoughts:

1) Gild is prob the best Mod I've seen in terms of trying to ride the fine line between allowin teh fun and maintaining the 2p2 hard rules.

2) Gild is more than reasonable and gives lottsa slack to posters who deomonstrate reasonable potential.

3) CC, GA, DDY, T-G all awesome posters but would prob lose their awesomeness edge if switched to green (The old turing a great worker who maybe an ok manager into a manager rather than keeping them as a great worker problem)

4) BBV4LYFE has deffo changed since it's inception. I believe it was originally meant as the playground for nonpoker stuff for the strong group of BBVers such as posters named above. Now the tone has clearly shifted a LOT. I can see whr Gild is coming from in not really enjoying it as much these days. Thrs a huge difference between the old "Least BUSTO threads" and the common themes in todays BBV4L.

5) Closing BBV4L seems quite a bit overeactive. All the current style BBV4Lers will either hijack another forum causing more probs or just disappear dropping traffic for 2p2 a bunch. Not every poster can be as awesome as CC or tuq (My 2 alltime fav posters BTW). There exists a need for an outlet for those still funny and lighthearted but not quite as good posters. BTYS is a decent example. He is one funny mofo but operates on a different level than CC. Together their mix is what makes BBV4L work.

6) 2p2 is a privately owned site for profit with significant communities. It HAS RULES.

7) Keep BBV4L but hey lets have the respected posters recognize the rules and publicly support when they are enforced. This will keep Gild, give him less headache and help BBV4L stay alive. Tis includes stopping the "free [insert dumbarse] who continually breaks the hard rules cus he thinks hes good enough to get away with it" campaigns.

In Summary: Give Gild a break, keep teh funny, everyone take a chill pill, relax, and pay attention to the rulez (ESP since they be fairly loose in BBV4L.)

^^yea, one thing i thought is that if our funniest/best posters became mods that they would then lose their 'spirit'...

also, nobody is saying gw is doing a bad job, not at all actually, it's just that he might be in need of a break or at least someone to share the burden with...

No one will lose their spirit if it's just a small group that deletes any NSFW pics or edits swearing. It'll probably come up a couple times a week at the most.

It's pretty basic but should work well.

I've been banned 3 times from BBV4L and have been avoiding that place like the plague lately because so many idiots have moved in. That should say something. Even though all my bans were bs and I was sweet in BBV. I'm tentatively making a move back in, so we'll see. All that said, if my only responsibility was deleting NSFW images, I would do it. No way do I want to deal with all the other crap mods have to take.

Edit: And who the eff are you to say you and one or two others are the only qualified ones to mod BBV? You're known for starting attention whore threads and harassing me, that's about it. Don't forget your thread begging to be made mod a few months ago. You may need this just to stroke your ego, but you wouldn't be doing anyone else any good.
