Bay 101 clamped down on this for the Shooting Stars. It sells out and people used to sell their seats for a profit. They won't let you transfer seats any more.

I don't believe the casino looks very favorably on profiting from tournament entry sales.
You are allowed one entry AFAIK.

If you want to sell it just show up every now and then once it sells out (there's plenty of time), go to the high-limit section and ask the floorman to ask the players if anybody wants a ticket. If you want I could try to help you sell it by asking around once it's sold out. PM me when and if and I'll see what I can do.

That sounds good...although seeing as the casino doesn't like the idea of it, I'll play it by ear closer to the time. I'll PM you with any questions closer to the time as well - thank you for that offer.

The casino may not look favorably at selling tickets for profit but there's nothing they can really do about it is there? I didn't read or sign anything with regards to that.....plus you could just keep it on the DL.

I just got into town tonight and went to CAZ and asked the manager on duty (Rita) and the person at the cage, and they both said you could not buy a seat, win a sattelite, and sell it back to the casino. They said once you buy a seat, playing in a satellite is useless unless you plan to sell the seat to another player, you cannot sell it back to the casino. Is this the case or was I given bad info?

If Rita and the cage told you I'd say it was true. However, I think you'd have little trouble selling it to another player. I've thought of a better way to get in touch with those who want to buy one once it's sold out. I think I'd just call the poker room, speak to a high-limit section floor man and ask him to ask around the tables to see if anybody wants a ticket. Then you can drive down and sell it. I'd be very surprised if you can't unload extra tickets to somebody. This tourney is generating a lot of excitement and I'm sure you can sell them. Of course, now that I've made all these assurances, the whole plan will go to heck but that's the way things are going for me these days.

Year before last I just showed up about two hours early and sat outside at the bench. Within an hour I had all of my extra seats sold for a very nice profit.
