Re: My Experience in the Normandie Bathroom
[ QUOTE ]
Good post title, huh? I actually posted this a hundred years ago, everybody who read it except me and Zee are probably dead so here it is again. Back in the early '80s, I have a big night at the biggest game in the cardroom, which was 15-30 lowball. I cash out and stuff all the money into my pockets. I check my watch: 1:57. I'll take a leak and head on home. Into the bathroom I go. Nobody else in there. I pull up to a urinal and begin the process. After a few seconds, I feel the presence of somebody standing behind me. You know how you kind of sense it, you can't tell whether you hear something, or feel something, but you know somebody's there? I take a casual glance to my left, craing to see if somebody's there with my peripheral vision. Nothing. Then to my right. There he is, I see him out of the corner of my eye. Just behind me. Big, black guy. Six-six at least. I'm the most non-prejudiced person I know. At least I thought I was. Adreniline starts to poor out my ears. I can feel my heart beating through my shirt and I'm afraid it's going to start banging into the urinal. Urine ceases to flow throw my whatever it flows through. He's just standing there, maybe two feet behind me. All the other urinals are unoccupied. I decide I'll wait him out. After all, it's almost 2:00, the bar'll be closing, the bathroom will be postiviely flooded (no pun intended) with inebriates any minute. Five seconds go by; ten; fifteen. It felt like fiteen decades. Sweat literally starts to drip off of me; I think it is urine sweat. Finally, I decide to confront him. I carefully tuck the family jewels back into my pants and wheel around. "WHADDYA WANT?" I scream, hopefully loud enough for those in neighboring municipalities to hear me. "Nothing, man," he says. "That's my lucky stall." Friggin' poker players . . . [/ QUOTE ] awesome |

Re: getting robbed at Los angeles Casinos
wow. Great information you guys are giving the OP. Carry 2 wallets? Good one. Have you ever been outside in public....or do you just post on 2p2 all day? Almost every response is totally moronic. How about not putting your stupid ass in a situation where you will get jacked? 3 times.....I think that is hilarious. Your friends deserve to get robbed evey day. And you sir, too.....just to teach ou a lesson about life.

[ QUOTE ]
I thought LA is home to all the glamour and movie stars. Why do all the rich folks live there then? [/ QUOTE ] Im sure there are good parts and parts of every town in America. I have lived in LA for 12 years, and it is spotty all over. LA is probably the "biggest city" in the country...since we are talking County and not the city proper. LA has some of the richest and poorest neighborhoods in the country. Where the celebrities live; rich. Where there are casinos and massage joints; poor. |

Out side the Hawaiin Gardens area is a very dangerous place. These foolish gangsters are just preying on these honest gamblers.

LA County is the largest county in the US, but that doesn't make LA the biggest city by any measure. NYC itself is broken up into five counties, and you would also have to include the surrounding counties for an apples-to-apples comparison to LA County. The NY metro area is easily bigger than the LA metro area. largest metro areas |

Re: getting robbed at Los angeles Casinos
Hmmm, there's been a few too many "LA is violent" posts in this thread. LA casinos aren't in the greatest areas, but I find Commerce and the Bike to be reasonably safe as long as you don't park off on the far edge of the lot. And LA, as a whole, is a lot safer than many other cities, such as those listed here:

Re: getting robbed at Los angeles Casinos
depends on the pepper spray.
PDF-4 http://www.counterassault.com/Person...nal_prote.html A police chief I know carried this. Unfortunately, he neglected to tell me the law only allows .75 oz in my state. Just noticed on the site: New Jersey: Any non-felon 18 or over may possess for the purpose of self defense one pocket-sized device which contains and releases not more than 3/4 of an ounce... |

Re: getting robbed at Los angeles Casinos
LA County is the most populus county in the U.S. - not the largest. Some county in Alaska is bigger and San Bernardino County is wayyyyyy bigger than LA County in terms of size.
