Re: Let\'s elaborate on Sunglasses
[ QUOTE ]
I started wearing Costa Del Mars on the recommendation of a fishing buddy. I can usually hand on to a pair for a couple of years before losing/breaking them so I think the $175 is an acceptable cost. The polarized glass lenses make all the difference in my opinion. If you are on the water (especially offshore where glare is a problem) the are the absolute best. [/ QUOTE ] Costa del mar shouldn't be overlooked. I like Maui Jim's, but like Costa del mar's better. |

Re: Let\'s elaborate on Sunglasses
I joined a few softball leageus and I need some shades to wear when I'm playing. Can anyone recommend a relatively cheap pair of shades that look good but also be effective for why I need them?

Re: Let\'s elaborate on Sunglasses

Well not much of a fan myself but the ones that N 82 50 24 posted are nice. me,myself and I prefer these: classy look i guess. I buy quality glasses, because i believe that eyes should be protected the best way they can be, so... |

Re: Let\'s elaborate on Sunglasses
Well, I finally bought a pair. I tried on probably 100 different sunglasses over the last month or two. Basically anywhere I went that carried sunglasses, I spent 10 minutes trying them all on.
The backup plan was to go buy that pair of Arnette sunglasses if I couldn't find anything else, but I just hadn't had a chance to go downtown yet when I found a pair of cheapo Foster Grant sunglasses that fit just as well for $12.99. I couldn't find the exact pair online, but they basically look like this: The red is a little sportier than I was looking for, but they fit just as well as the $130-$150 Smith and Arnette glasses I found. Since I saved over $100, I'm going to treat myself to these ($85) |

Re: Let\'s elaborate on Sunglasses
Kaenon Polarized - Model Rhino I recieved a pair of these 3-4 years ago when the company first started in the swag bag of a Marlin tournament. Have purchased a few pairs in diff. frame styles since and love them. Lenses are crisp, they make Tobacco and Tortoise colored frames which are my favorite. I feel they are affordable at $150-200 a pair. They have been very durable, I have the original pair still in perfect shape as are all others, save one pair I lost leaning over the boat to gaff a fish. |

Re: Let\'s elaborate on Sunglasses
OK, you [censored] have me almost convinced to drop $180 on a pair of Maui Jim Hilo sunglasses.
WTF? I can afford it, but I'm way too cheap for this [censored]. Plus my Grandfather would rise from his grave and throttle me if I spent that kind of money on sunglasses. |

Took my own pictures because I don't know the model number, but they're Ray-Ban Aviators with silver frames and black-to-gray lenses. $138 with tax at sunglass store in the mall. [/ QUOTE ] I have these exact glasses with lighter lenses. imo they are pretty awesome. |
