Parents seem best bet. I remember watching 60 minutes or something where some young kid was arrested for kiddie porn. They had a computer "expert" come on as well as testify that this kid's computer was hacked and the porn was put on there from another computer. Supposedly, this is what people that look at kiddie porn do. Anyway, point is that didn't matter. It was on this kid's computer so he was found guilty. PERIOD. He was labeled as a sexual predator. Something awful.

If Stars will provide you in writing the IP address and verifiable proof it came from this guy's computer, take that to the parents and see what you can get. As someone else mentioned, depending on what state you're in, I don't know how hard I'd push.

Good luck

So how do you plan on getting the money out of this 'friend'?

There is absolutely no way I would believe him that he didn't get money back on one of the sites. It's possible of course. but it's more likely that he's just lying again.

You actually giving any possible credit to anything he says after he robbed you of thousands of dollars is incredible.
He almost certainly has it all and is just trying to keep some of it.

Don't forget that some of the money he lost at the tables might have been to another friend of his or to one of his other accounts or something.

He transferred all that other money in trades to other accounts? So he's just going to play with the other money of yours and not try to take it for himself? Come on! He was trying to get that too and probably did.

Your friend sucks.

Did he admit to using a keylogger on his own computer and that he called you over for a 'transfer' with the expressed purpose of stealing the rest of your money?

Or is he just claiming something lame like he never intended to steal it but then the password was somehow still there and then he just couldn't resist himself?

There's a very good chance he has way more of your money than he claims.

Greg - I haven't read the whole thread. Just skimmed through parts and saw his last post.
If he's making it all up then so be it.
Wouldn't be the first time I've taken that bait.

Any chance the hand history files are still on his pc?

[/ QUOTE ]

Already thought about this. They probably are, but I doubt I will be allowed access to his pc.

[/ QUOTE ]

If he denies you access to his PC, there is absolutely no way it's not him. Any innocent person would be welcoming you back to clear their name.

[/ QUOTE ]

Unless his pron collection is embarassing.
