ok I am sick of people ripping on the tight players. Its their choice to play tight and maybe thats how they feel they are going to make the most money at the table. You arent *obligated* to play loose just because its TV. I think these particular table conditions warrented much more tight play to win. I think Phil Galfond is playing fine.

yes.. i'm sure he's watched sammy before .. and he knows that anytime sammy raises you he's got the nuts and you should fold immediately. good job phil

Another not so great episode. No one can defend how tight some of these guys are playing, theres a straddle and antes to fight over. When they stopped the 72 game this season it became ridiculously tight. Too many players playing there cards and not making any plays. Hope it gets better

For a start they're playing full ring, most of the high stakes games online are played shorthanded, i doubt jman has that much experience of playing full ring for these stakes, so who can blame him for playing tightish.

His fold of qq was easy, ok its sammy and eli but he has eli to act behind him, he has no diamonds and an overcard to his pair. Sam and Eli could have anything and farha could fire the river whether a diamond came or not. Lol at playing scared.

He seems like a decent bloke to me, jman that is

Who's BB?

[/ QUOTE ]

He must mean Brian Brandon? Although I cannot see why he would ever be included in an "ideal" line-up.

[/ QUOTE ]

I think he means Bobby Baldwin

[/ QUOTE ]

Since I usually only post in BBV, my default is set to "level." So, I assume you're all leveling here. If I'm wrong, and you're not trying to level, I'll set the record straight. I am very sure BB= Brad Booth.

jman says in his post that he wishes there was a game where he and the other internet pros can use their reading and poker acumen to play. so if these internet guys are such good readers and thinkers... why run away from this hand. i would think that the correct play in that situation would be to raise sammy... but i'm not the internet god that you all worship so i'll stay at my live table.

i agree... and i also think he's probably a great holdem player... he was just in over his head.
