Re: girls who play poker - a turn off for guys who don\'t play poker?
Agreed. I'll call my female friends out if they, say, are out at a bar and try to go flirt with guys with the only intention of getting free drinks (esp. if they have boyfriends already), but at the poker table, if the guys are so dumb as to play differently when in the presence of cleavage, you deserve to take their money.

I believe there are far more women living in poverty than men. [/ QUOTE ] I seriously doubt this unless it's by choice. |

Re: girls who play poker - a turn off for guys who don\'t play poker?
There is a man who has three girlfriends, but he does not know which one to marry. So he decides to give each one $5000 and see how each of them spends it.
The first one goes out and gets a total make over with the money. She gets new clothes, a new hairdo, manicure, pedicure, the works, and tells the man, "I spent the money so I could look pretty for you because I love you so much." The second one went out and bought new golf clubs, a CD player, a television, and a stereo and gives them to the man. She says, "I bought these gifts for you with the money because I love you so much." The third one takes the $5000 and uses it as a poker bankroll, doubles her investment and returns the $5000 to the man. She says, "I will continue to build this roll with the rest of the money and put some aside for our future because I love you so much." The man thought long and hard about how each of the women spent the money, and decided to marry the one with the biggest [censored]. |

Re: girls who play poker - a turn off for guys who don\'t play poker?
This summer my daughter, who is in high school, attended a three week program at a university and played a lot of poker with the guys. She took them for a lot of money because they think girls can't play and she just caught some lucky cards. She is cute (don't all parents think that about their kids - NO I WILL NOT POST PICTURES!) and had no problem getting invited to sit in. Now she thinks that when she gets to college she will pick up all her spending money by playing cards against stupid guys.
When playing live I have come across some tough and experienced female players. Generally when I come across a female player I assume she is probably a good player and will be careful until I have seen evidence to the contrary. Better safe then sorry. |
