how are people hating on batman? pretty influential movie imo.

[/ QUOTE ]

It's just me, and I'm sure if I'd seen it when I was 10 instead of 20, I would have loved it.

I was just hoping it would be what Batman Begins actually was, and it was really, really not. The 1989 Batman had almost no fighting in it, srsly, just mostly Bruce Wayne being emo and Jack clowning around and throwing paint on art.

Also, they had Alfred just walk Vicki Vale into the Batcave without asking, and said the Joker was the killer of Wayne's parents, which both pissed me off so much I almost had an embolism.

yes, but most disappointing movie EVER?

are you telling me that Rocky V is closer to Rocky IV than Oceans 12 is to Oceans 11?

or that The Phantom Menace, compared to the original trilogy, was a disappointment, but boy Oceans 12 takes the cake?

[/ QUOTE ]
Wait, are you saying that Rocky IV was good? I thought it was universally understood that only the first Rocky was good, and all the others were kind of just there.

Rocky II is really good.

Rocky III is really fun to watch.

Rocky IV is really stupid and retarted but has some cool scenes and it's a lot better if you turn it off right at the end of the Drago fight and before Stallone's horrific attempt at a political speech.

Rocky V never happened, and I'm not sure why it's in this thread, because (a) it never happened and (b) no one had any expectations that it would be any good, at least not after seeing any of the previews.

I'm in the camp of:
Rocky was a great real movie, II was ok, and III & IV were completely different but awesome movies, in the vein of a great and campy action movie.

if you don't get pumped up by the Russian training scene, then ok.

Rocky V was terrible in every possible way.

I thought Keaton/Nicholson Batman was pretty good.

[/ QUOTE ]

Yeah, the Burton Batman's >>>>>>>>>>>>&g t;>>>> Schumaker ones

I'm undecided as between Batman and Batman begins, but I think that Nicholson + Prince makes it the winner.

What the hell is wrong with you people? Stallone ended the cold war so that you'd have the freedom to flame him on the internets. If I can change, and you can change, maybe we all can change.

For my money, Made.

It was so disappointing, it retroactively made me decide that Swingers kinda sucked too, since it's essentially the same characters.
