As an aside, La Fin Du Monde, which translates loosely to the end of the world tastes great.

I enjoy Stella Artois quite a bit. Not heavy, not too light, packs a bit of a punch (as opposed to me having to drink a case of Miller Lite to get a buzz) and I really like the taste. An increasing number of bars here in town are putting it on tap, which is a welcome development.

This is blowing up everywhere it seems. My friends and I all think it's awful. I dont know how it got so popular. Must be something to it though because I see people drinking it all the time. I thought it had to be a marketing thing or something.

* I like most good beers and most everything ppl rec. is great, I just cant get into this.

Root,

You're pretty much spot on here. Stella Artois is the Grey Goose of beer. It's a mediocre pale lager marketed as something premium and high brow, and the masses, who are used to drinking mediocre (or worse) pale lagers eat it up, just as they eat up the marketing campaign of a mediocre vodka.

Belhaven Scottish Ale or St. Andrews Ale. FTW in my book.

Very smooth. Superb beer for one pint or ten imo.
