One of my favorites: "If Bruce Dickinson wants more cowbell...we should probably give him more cowbell" "The last time I checked, we don't have a lot of songs that feature the cowbell" "I have a fever...and the only prescription, is more cowbell" "Babies, before we're done here, ya'll be wearing gold-plated diapers" [/ QUOTE ] |

Racial insults with Garrett Morris vs. Chevy Chase. Chevy has a truckload of derogatory remarks and the best Garrett can come back is "honkie." Then Chevy drops the "n-word" and Garrett says, seriously, "Dead honkie."
Also, "I'm-a get me a shotgun and kill all the whities I seeee!" |

Re: Best SNL skit of all time
Probably not a real popular one, but:
I remember an episode where Elle MacPherson was hosting (1997 I believe), where Tim Meadows was in a skit as a jazz musician doing a recording in a studio, and MacPherson was one of the producers. Every time they would do a 'take', Meadows would start out playing the cut normally, and doing his own improv by occasionally saying things like, "groovy" or "all right!" But about 30 seconds into each track, he would start to get a little nutty and say things like, "Me Chinese, me play joke, me put pee pee in your coke!" So every time he would go overboard, they'd have to redo the take, and overall I thought it was a pretty briliant sketch. Anyone seen it? |

That was Pryor? No [censored]? Been a while since I'd seen it. I obviously thought it was Morris because of the shotgun song.

Re: Best SNL skit of all time
That also brings up the classic look on Morris' face when Julian Bond drops the line about "....the fact that light-skinned blacks are smarter than dark-skinned blacks."
The book 'Live From New York' has Morris saying he totally felt he was the token negro on the show and was pretty pissed off about it. |
