People tend to emphasize the offence (hitting) in this series (and most of baseball really), but much is decided by good defense

[/ QUOTE ]

Did anyone else stop reading there?

[/ QUOTE ]

I stopped reading when I saw he used a c in "offense"

[/ QUOTE ]

Check out the OED or the spelling variant in Merriam-Webster. I also use grey instead of gray. But I take no offence.

I see athiests say this thing all the time, and I just don't understand the argument. Christians believe that God is all-powerful and unbounded by time. In other words, nothing is "too small" for him, and him completing one small task is not going to take away from his ability to complete another task.....He is involved in all things including meaningless and petty sports events, and that doesn't take away from his ability to be involved in "more important" things.

[/ QUOTE ]

In other words, God is responsible for every act of evil in the world, yet still people worship her.

[/ QUOTE ]

Ugh, I fear I've turned this into a religious thread now....

Yes, I believe you're correct. However what you and I think of as "evil" isn't really evil. If God could use the greatest evil ever(Jesus dying on the cross) for ultimate good then why wouldn't he be able to do the same for lesser evil? People tend to view pain and suffering as "evil" but in reality I think they are helpful tools for strengthening people's character and often improving their relationship with God.

Why would you take a Rockies World Series seriously?
