You can double add-on on Absolute.

Not sure why people hate the site, the players are overall pretty poor and the software isn't horrible

I'm confused. (Entries + rebuys + addons)*3 > $8k

2860 x 3 = 8580 unless of course the 3$ includes rake in which case we'd have 2860 x 2.7 = 7722 for an overlay of 278$ or almost 93 buyins.

I hate AP. Their cust service is terrible and I don't like the software.

But the tourneys are soooooo soft. I've won this particular one 3 times and ft'd it two others out of like 30ish attempts. They are a much slower structure than Stars and I was never really in pushbot mode at all this tourney.

Avg stack at final table was like 20x for awhile.

Oh ya and double add ons are awesome when half the field doesn't add on at all.

You can bust the last hand, double rebuy and double add on and still be at average almost.

chim, is it 2.70+.30, or 3+.30? Also, do rebuys count as much as the initial buyin?

2.7, all AP tourneys except the big ones are vigged 9% off the buy in.. so its never like a 20+2.. its like 18.20+1.80.

The downside is that it means they take 30 cents outta each rebuy. The upside is they are generally smaller than this one and still have overlay.

I seem to recall learning this the first time you went deep in this tourney and we couldn't figure out the $$.
Yea, it really sucks that they are pulling a vig outta the rebuys. The only reason this one (or that first one) even had an overlay was because they took a vig from the rebuys; if they didn't, the prize pool would have exceeded the guaranteed amount.

That's true. And ya we figured that out the first time.

However, it still has overlay often. And the difference isn't that big because so many people don't even add on or rebuy.

Even with the slightly higher house take it is still very profitable.
