lol [/ QUOTE ] The 2+2 software cut off my posting and said "that post has already been made", but you guys get the picture. As WIP's sportsupdate put it before the Phillies recap, "The Eagles season officially started today...." |

Unreal. Impossible to make the post season like that.
How many games have they blown this year with bullpen collapses? More than what they rail in the wildcard, for sure. |

Re: ***Official 2007 Philadelphia Phillies Thread***
My grandfather (who's seen more than his fair share of poor Phils teams) keeps asking "how do these guys [meaning the pitching staff, relievers in particular] walk around the clubhouse and not be ashamed of themselves?"
There has to be some tension there, right? I mean, you go out there and put up 8 runs, and watch it melt away in the 8th and 9th innings. And this is not the first time this year. |

Re: ***Official 2007 Philadelphia Phillies Thread***
The worst part about todays game was that while watching their monumental collapse today, at no time was I even a little surprised.
I certainly hope, however, that the Meyers as closer experiment is over. He is not suited to that job and has been nothing more than pedestrian in relief. |

[/ QUOTE ] Actually that might be going a bit too far. Today was only his second BS. However we have definitly seen that some days he just doesn't have it. That said I think we'd definitely be better off with him in the rotation with Hamels/Kendrick/Moyer/Carrasco (pretty please?). Mesa and Gordon should just be outright released. |

If Manuel comes back next year, i fully will be expecting the same shizz and will not watch any games. They better not use all their injuries for excuses and bring him back.
Anyone know the word of what they plan on doing in regards to him? |
